Vita and HH's Next Adventure

Sometimes a deal comes along that is just too good to pass up, and when such things happen, the fun and smart thing to do is go for it, so that is what we did. It is a 1989 Moto Guzzi Le Mans with low miles, meticulous care and lovely paint. We are going for a fun weekend drive to LA to pick it up. Ya Hoo!

Now you've seen it! Isn't it beautiful?

It's a "Lemon"! (Moto Guzzi "Le Mans"). Lovely looking bikes that make a "proper" bike sound (not like these anodyne 4 cylinders).
I had a Moto Guzzi V50 back in the early '80s - great little bike until the oil leaks started, the frame rusted and the tank transfers fell off when I spilt gas over them! I think their quality control is better these days.

Oh! No! A lemon? Maybe I'd better not tell him. He's been wanting another Italian bike, and would have gotten an unsightly Laverda (not like the pretty one he had when we got married) if he hadn't gotten this. I hope he doesn't spill gas on the tank.

I think it's a "live and learn" situation. Everyone has different experiences...

No worries, Vita - "lemon" is purely a play on "Le Mans" (as spoken in French, who do not sound the "s") - that's what we call them over here. (However, I hope the cap does not fit!)
