Oh, joy.  This will let me post a photo.  This is one of my favorites, taken by the happy elf in the corner.  It's the trombone section of the Community Band at our holiday concert in December.  Getting to play with people is the most fun I get, and three of these, plus an unpictured tuba also play in our trombone quartet.  Yes, that's five people, but we play quartet music, and the tuba player plays her bass trombone.

It's been raining all year (2023) but because there was such a drought, rain is welcome.

I just ordered a Classic Motorcycles calendar, which is a month late, but if late is better than never, it's about time.  When I go to lunch with my friends, more and more we discuss how we're all falling apart.  We talk about what books are worth reading, but also how readable the font size is.  We all like the Large Print Editions.

Now that you know everything, I'll go away again.

Good to see your post, Vita.

My grandaughter started learning the Saxaphone some years ago, but university got in the way and she eventually sold it. At Christmas she told me that she has picked up where she left off and now has a blue saxaphone (might be good for playing the Blues?)

I do agree about meeting up with oldie friends. The conversation has veered from talking about holidays to discussing ailments and hospital appointments. I, too, prefer large print and find the Amazon Kindle invaluable here since you can choose the print size of any book you read

Ah, Avus. Thanks for writing. That's a good recommendation for Kindle. I've never tried it. Does it work for reading in bed?

I'm glad your grandaughter has taken up sax again. I haven't seen a blue one yet, just silver, brass and black. I want to see a blue one! The HH and I heard a row of saxes last night at the pub, in front of a row of trombones, in front of a row of trumpets, with the rythmn on the other side of the band. All friends, and young enough to talk about anything but going haywire. We ate salads and drank water, but other patrons drank beer and coffee and wine, and ate brownies.
